Gabriel’s Kids Triathlon Camp
Gabriel’s Symphony Foundation (GSF) celebrates 12 years of making a difference in children’s lives. GSF has been actively pursuing its advocacy of making children’s lives better and building grassroots sports program from the ground up. Sports is a dynamic and inclusive way of motivating children to develop their potential through discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Through grassroots sports programs, children learn the fundamentals of the sport and proper skills training while coaches also pick up proper drills that they can use to train their athletes. These children can eventually become well-rounded student-athletes who can maximize their talents and athleticism to open up opportunities for a brighter future.
This year, Gabriel’s Symphony flies to Cebu to hold its Annual 12-Hour Multi-Sport Celebration, In Memory of Gabriel, on December 6, 2014, at the Abellana Sports Complex in Cebu City.
Gabriel’s Kids Triathlon Camp is one of the activities in this year’s sports-filled celebration. This triathlon clinic aims to provide a safe and fun environment for kids to ease into triathlon, learn the basics of the sport, and improve triathlon specific skills. Kids will be split into proper age groups and will rotate through sessions starting from swim-focused and swim-to-bike transition, to bike-focused and bike to run transition.
Kids from the mountain barangays of Cebu City who have the talent and interest in the sports will be joining the camp. The triathlon camp will be conducted by National Triathlon Team Coach Melvin Fausto, with the assistance of National Tri Team member John Leearams Chicano. With their help, the kids are sure to be in safe hands while learning about triathlon 101.
Join us as we celebrate the 12th year of Gabriel’s Symphony! We look forward to sharing with you another year of passionately supporting children’s development and health, and making a difference in their lives.
